Baxter's Blog: 10 months old..and still not crawling!

This is one content little baby! I just don't think he cares enough to crawl. He actually prefers walking. He'll cruise between things, and loves to stand and play. When he's in his walker on the wood floors of the kitchen, he just tears around, running full speed into the cupboards. He opens everything he can get his little hands on, so when he's not confined to a walker, we'll have our hands full.

Sebastian is to the point where he lets you know if he disagrees with the decision you've made on his behalf. If he doesn't want to play on a certain toy, he gets really mad and makes all kinds of noise!

We're also taking swimming lessons. He loves the water! He kicks his legs like a little frog the whole time. He's one of he youngest in the class, so instead of, say, throwing the ball to the next baby, he puts it in his mouth and sucks the water out of it. But I think he enjoys it. I signed him up so that I could do something fun with him since he's in full time daycare, and I feel like I don't get enough quality time. But I've only been able to take him to one class, because I've had poison ivy for almost two weeks now. It's awful! I think I got it when I was pulling weeds. It must have gotten on my glove, and then I scratched a bug bite on my leg. It has spread all over my legs, arm, and stomach. I tried to avoid it, but am now on steroids. Miserable. It's midnight right now, and I got up at 5am this morning after going to bed at 2am. And I just can't sleep! The itching is unbearable, but the worst part is that I have to wean now. We were in the process anyway, but Sebastian can't have my steroid-laced milk, so he's on formula now. I have to admit, I was tired of pumping at work and before bed everyday!

So, we are preparing for a trip to Colorado and Salt Lake City, and when we get back I should have lots of pictures! Hope you're all having a great summer. Enjoy it..it's going fast!
