Nursery and first smile

Here are some pictures of the nursery. I got the farm animal bedding and paintings from Tamara (Hiner) Parker. She had it for her little guy Preston. They had a friend paint the pictures on the walls to match the quilt and bumper. I painted the border and squares and animals to match. My mom sewed the drapes. I think it turned out pretty cute!
I also caught Sebastian with his first smile...it's not a full-out grin, but it's pretty cute!

We've had a pretty rough couple of weeks. Sebastian has reflux, and would just scream for hours at night. During the day, he'll never take naps. I'd say total he'll sleep usually 7-8 hours in a 24 hour period. He's doing better on the reflux medicine. But he still doesn't sleep that much. I really can't get anything done during the day. The only way he doesn't wail is if I'm holding him. If I can get him to sleep, the second I put him down, he wakes up and starts screaming again. I started carrying him in a sling during the day to get him to take a nap. That way my arms are free so I can get some things done...like actually eat! He also probably has a diary/soy intolerance, so I've had to cut that out of my diet. Soy is in everything! But hopefully this will clear up his rash and settle his tummy.

I am playing in the Lincoln Symphony concert this week. Every time I pulled in to downtown, I felt like I was out of jail! It was a nice and needed baby break. I go back to Doane for one class next week, and I'm really looking forward to it. We also meet with a daycare lady next week to see if we are going to take Sebastian there so I can go back to work. Right now I'd feel really bad leaving him at a busy home daycare, because he's so high maintenance! Hopefully he'll start sleeping better soon!
