There is definitely a new hit toy at the Baxter household. It’s the John Deere Gator! Sebastian wants to get it out every time we’re outside. He can push the pedal (that took him all of 20 seconds to learn) but he doesn’t look where he’s going, and he doesn’t steer. So we have to run along next to him and steer so he doesn’t hit a tree or something!
The cousins came out for dinner, and they drove Sebastian around the yard until the battery died! Sebastian just laughed and had such fun. The triplets had to take turns, and the two that weren’t driving just ran after the Gator. They made laps around the house. All the kids slept well that night!!
Sebastian has really started talking a lot. It seems like he has a new word everyday. We got him a potty chair, and he’s been sitting on it, but nothing had happened yet. We knows he knows how to make himself go…because he does it all the time…on the changing table, before he gets in the tub, anytime his diaper is off! But today I put him on it after dinner, and he sat there for all of 10 seconds, then signed “all done” to me. He got up, looked in to bowl, then decided to sit again. A couple of seconds later, we heard the triumphant music..yes, his potty chair has sensors in the bottom that play music when something hits them. He was soooo excited! He started laughing and clapping. He went potty! He was very proud and giggled and jabbered about it for several minutes.
We have some really cute pictures of Sebastian hunting Easter eggs…I’ll post those soon.
