With this nice weather, we’ve been outside a lot. The second he’s outside, Sebastian walks straight for the building and wants in so he can go for a ride in the Big Red (like a Gator). There are two seats, so we all pile in and ride around the yard. He loves it! I was digging up plants and he sat in the driver’s seat for half an hour just giggling and turning the wheel. It’s hilarious! He helped me water some plants I transplanted, and he loved that too. I think it’s safe to say that Sebastian likes being outside! I have to bribe him with food to get him in the house without a fight.
So this evening just before bedtime, we were playing in the living room when our friend Annie called and said she and her sister were bringing a surprise over for Sebastian. We already had him in his jammies, but they said to come outside for the surprise. When we opened the garage door and Sebastian saw the John Deere Gator in the back of the truck, he wanted down, and ran across the driveway (with his rubber boots over his jammies!) to go see it! He climbed right in and checked it out. Annie’s sister Kelli has two little boys who are too big for the Gator, so they wanted to give it to someone who would have fun with it. It’s so funny, because just the other day Wes was showing me the very same thing in a catalogue saying he wanted to order it for Sebastian. I’m still not quite sure who’s more excited….
Kelli said her boys “polish” it with Windex and a microfiber cloth. She said they’d be happy to come show Sebastian how to “polish” it up! Wes has it charging, and I’m sure he’ll have Sebastian out driving around the yard before long! We’ll post some pictures of it when he get the hang of it….I’m hoping it’s a while before he gets in it and figures out how to push the pedal!
