We had such as fun Easter!  I was so glad to finally have a weekend to stay at home with Wes and Sebastian.  Sebastian walked right to his basket in the morning and dug through his goodies from the Easter bunny.  He got a golf set for outside, some clothes, and a potty chair!  He noticed some eggs laying around, so we gave him his basket, and he went around and found all of his eggs.  He squealed with delight each time he found one!  Once we found them all, Wes and I started making breakfast.  We looked out in the living room and Sebastian had opened an egg with Jelly Beans and was stuffing them in his mouth!  He has so much sugar that day!

He helped me make the topping for my dessert for our Easter dessert contest at my mom’s house.  Erin won with her dirt cake last year (it was cute and yummy…and easy compared to my difficult cake).  So everyone worked extra hard this year.  I made a Coconut Key-lime pie.  Yum!  The desserts pictured are from our contest.  The best part:  You get to sample 4 desserts!

Sebastian had fun looking for eggs at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, too.  Isn’t that hat about the cutest thing ever?!?  I can’t believe he left it on for so long.  (Good thing, too…I gave him a really crooked hair cut a few weeks ago that is still growing out…it was so long just in the front!!  I’ve been wanting to get pictures taken when he turned 18 months, but I’m still waiting for the hair to grow out a bit!!)

Once I’m done with school we’re going to start the potty training.  He has gone on his new potty chair a few times.  We haven’t forced him, just if he wants to try.  He likes sitting on it unless he’s busy doing something else and can’t be bothered!

One other note, I don’t remember if I mentioned it or not, but I was accepted to the Doctorate program at UNL for Jazz Composition.  I was also awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, which means I’ll be directing the Vocal Jazz Ensemble at UNL, and that pays for school for me!  I’m very excited to take this next step in my musical education…and a little nervous about being a student again!  I think I’ll start studying now……
